Cookie Policy
Short version: this website sets no cookies. The one thing it stores in your browser is whether you asked for the light or the dark theme, and that never leaves your device.

This policy explains what HSR Utility Apps Private Limited, trading as HSR Utility, stores in your browser when you visit hsrutility.com, and what it does not.
1. What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on every later request — it is what lets a site recognise a returning visitor. Local storage is related, with one important difference: the browser keeps it but never attaches it to a request, so a site sees it only if its own code goes looking.
2. Cookies We Set
None. Not one, of any kind — not essential, not functional, not analytical, not advertising. Specifically absent:
Analytics cookies
There is no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no PostHog and no equivalent on this website. Visits are not counted or profiled here.
Advertising cookies
No ad network, no retargeting pixel, no conversion tag. Nothing follows you from this site to another one.
Third-party cookies
No embedded video, no social widget, no comment system, no chat bubble, no externally hosted font — so no other company gets a request from your browser at all.
Consent banner
There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. A banner asking permission to set nothing would be theatre.
3. The One Thing We Do Store
hsr-theme — local storage, not a cookie
Set when you use the theme toggle, holding one of three words: light, dark or auto. The site reads it before the first paint so the page does not flash the wrong colour scheme on the way in.
It is never sent to us or anyone else, and identifies nothing about you beyond a colour preference. It stays until you clear this domain's site data. Blocking or clearing it costs you nothing except that the site follows your operating system's setting instead of your choice.
4. Controlling It
Every browser lets you clear site data and block storage per site, under Settings → Privacy. Here that removes the theme preference and nothing else, because there is nothing else. You can also just use the toggle again, or set it back to auto.
There is no opt-out to offer and no vendor list to work through, for the same reason there is no banner: nothing is collected to opt out of.
5. Our Apps Are a Separate Matter
The Android apps are not browsers and set no cookies either, but they do use analytics and advertising identifiers, which do a comparable job on a phone. Each app discloses which services those are, and you can reset or limit the advertising identifier in Android settings at any time: Pakiza · Arul .
6. Changes to This Policy
If we ever add something that sets a cookie — an embedded video, an analytics script, a chat widget — this page changes in the same release and the "Last updated" date moves. A policy that says "no cookies" while the site quietly sets some is worse than no policy at all.
